View of dead Bristlecone Pine in Winter on the flank of Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park in Nevada. This dead tree is huge and must have been very old when it died. There was some dead wood dated in this grove to be 9000 years old. In this grove are some of the oldest trees living on the face of the Earth. Image made in March on a Hasselblad and Ektachrome 100 film.
